Dr. Diane Fiander specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, after which she attended Columbia University in New York, earning a Master of Science in Nutrition. She obtained her MD from Chicago Medical School, a part of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She then moved back to Michigan for her internship in Family Medicine at Crittenton Hospital and ophthalmology residency at Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
Dr. Fiander is joining the Retina Institute of California as its fourth surgical fellow. When not in the clinic, Dr. Fiander can be found baking up a storm or exploring the local hiking trails.
