Paul M. Bonds


Dr. Paul Bonds is a fellowship-trained, board certified Retina Specialist. He attended University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate studies and received his medical doctorate from the University of Panama Faculty of Medicine in Panama City, Republic of Panama. He trained at Social Security Hospital in Panama as well as Gorgas Hospital. He then went on to receive further training at Tulane University School of Medicine in Louisiana. He did his fellowship training at Tulane University School of Medicine where he did further training in Vitreo-Retinal Disease and Surgery. After his fellowship he was asked to remain at Tulane University where he was an assistant professor for 2 years. Dr. Bonds has been in private practice from 1983 to present. He is knowledgeable in all aspects of general ophthalmology, but is especially qualified in the diagnosis and management of Retina, both medically and surgically. He is well versed in all of the latest techniques and treatment protocols for retinal diseases. Thanks to his experience at the University of Panama, he is fluent in Spanish as well as English.
